Forbes released their annual top 100 celebrities list placing Oprah Winfrey at no. 1. Income, media interest and number of MySpace friends are among the factors Forbes uses to rank celebs. This year, actors dominated while musicians sank. Missing from the list are Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Paris and Nicole are no longer on the list thanks to declining interest in The Simple Life and lackluster albums while Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen no longer rule the teen fashion circuit.
Making it to the top 10 were Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and Tom Hanks. Also in the top 10 at no. 8 is Tom Cruise who sits directly under Elton John. Wow, even Forbes makes Tom Cruise look gay.
