Myleene Klass and MampS Can't Compete with Primark

As the masses descended on the new Oxford Street Primark store to take part in the great British sport of queueing, few of them realised there was another event going on just over the road that was far more civilised. Myleene Klass, the musician / reality tv queen, was over at Marks & Spencer's Marble Arch store doing her bit as one of the faces of the new collection, signing autographs, posing for photos and generally looking radiant.

Taking a look at the new range in M&S, it's easy to see why a gorgeous young girl like Myleene is happy to be associated with it. There are fabulous slinky silk dresses, great prints, gorgeous blouses and some really fashion-forward pieces that wouldn't look out of place in Zara or Topshop. It's fair to say that - with the help of Erin O'Connor, Lizzy Jagger, Twiggy, Myleene and co - the shop has finally shed its 'mumsy' reputation and is now very high on the list of places to go for well-made, stylish pieces at affordable prices. We'll be doing a full shop review soon, but in the meantime, get yourself down there and take a look. It'll be quieter than Primark, if nothing else!
