Glenn Close Gets Her 'damages' on

good evening everybody! y'all know i'm a total whore for pretty much any show on FX (especially nip/tuck & dirt) and oh they've got a goody coming...the new legal drama **damages** starring the one & only glenn close! she plays patty hewes a high-stakes litigator - oh my gosh - she is ruthless & tougher than nails - making cruella de vil look like an angel! i had the pleasure of screening the first episode (airing july 24th @ 10pm) right off the bat the series starts with a bang - i was quite impressed - i'm dying to know what will happen next! besides anything with ms. close is usually a guaranteed good time - glenn is an excellent actress - she's always fierce and **damages** is no exception!

i also really enjoyed rose byrne's character ellen parsons who plays the new girl at the firm - still pretty wet behind the ears - the show immediately sets-up a 'what the hell happened to her?!?' i hope the rest of the season is as exciting as the first episode! no worries - i'll make sure to remind you guys about the premiere (two weeks from this coming tuesday) below are some billboard shots that you may have seen in NYC or LA - plus there's a great trailer - totally worth checking out! popbytes over & out for tonight - i can't believe monday is rolling by again so soon - xxoo!

**damages** is a legal thriller set in the world of new york city high-stakes litigation. the series, which provides a view into the true nature of power and success, follows the turbulent lives of patty hewes (glenn close) the nation's most revered and reviled high-stakes litigator and her bright, ambitious protégé ellen parsons (rose byrne) as they become embroiled in a class action lawsuit targeting the allegedly corrupt arthur frobisher (ted danson), one of the country’s wealthiest ceos. as patty battles with frobisher and his attorney ray fiske (zeljko ivanek) ellen parsons will be front and center witnessing just what it takes to win at all costs, as it quickly becomes clear that lives, as well as fortunes, may be at stake...
