While I do not believe lying is a bad thing, I have lied before and, while I am not proud of it, it will probably happen again. You know, not BIG lies, but probably little lies. Anyone who tells me that they have never lied in their life is telling a fib. However, I do not recall telling lies to my husband. I give him the same respect that I want in return. Eventually, your spouse is going to find out that you lied. I mean, it may not be right now. It may not even be tomorrow and it might not be next month – it will be someday. It could be five years from now – trust me, your spouse will find out, so there is no need to lie.
