A lot of designers are bringing back the trend of wearing innerwear as outerwear and you’d expect the creator of Madonna’s cone bra to know how to do it right! And guess who was sitting in the front row? Continue reading ‘Guess Which 5 Celebrities Were at Jean Paul Gaultier Fashion Show?’

Don’t let his diminutive size and black-rimmed eyeglasses fool you. When it comes to high-luxe feminine fashion, Alber Elbaz is the go-to guy.
Since the fall of 2001, he has been creating gorgeous pieces under the house of Lanvin – which has been a favorite of celebs like Liv Tyler. For the label’s Spring 2009 collection held at the runways of Paris, the designer became uber-successful in featuring garments which, as he himself said: “made life easier for women”.
Check out pics from the collection below.

“A clash of historical eras, a fantasy of theatrics and thoroughly modern technical skills.” – that’s the classic John Galliano look as described by NY Fashion. And the Brit seems determined to teach us a thing or two about history.
At the John Galliano Spring 2009 collection held at the runways of Paris, historical bearskin hats mixed with lovely evening dresses, colorful suits and wearable but sheer frocks.
The doll-ish hair and makeup of the models did not distract from the fact that the clothes are the center of attention here – and there’s not a designer that can pull off the Galliano look than, well, John Galliano.

Louis Vuitton is more than just a monogrammed label: it’s a lifestyle and a fashion statement.
At the Spring 2009 Louis Vuitton collection held at the runways of Paris just recently, Marc Jacobs called the show reminiscent of a Little Parisienne princess. Which is completely and utterly brilliant.
From the obi-belted dresses and suits to the glittery sweaters and wide legged pants, there is definitely something here that every woman would die to have, unlike other collections which seems to be only suitable for the Gossip Girls or SATC cast.
Here’s the lil’ Parisienne princess look from the LV Spring 2009 collection:

The signature look of the labels Prada and Miu Miu are described by NY Fashion as old-world Italian luxury wrapped in forward thinking design.
With Miuccia Prada at the helm, the Miu Miu Spring 2009 collection was held at the runways of Paris. And she is another designer who is set to teach her fashion-obsessed audience a lesson about history.
” It’s an investigation of our history, of our European past,” is exactly what the designer had to say about the pieces from her collection.
Check out the ‘historical’ clothes for yourself.

If you will ask designer Karl Lagerfeld about what the word ‘blurred’ means – his answer would be that things are not always quite as they seem.
That’s exactly Karl Lagerfeld’s theme for the Spring 2009 collection which was showcased at the runways of Paris. If you’re a lover of black-and-white fashion, you will more than have your fill of it.
Futuristic body jewelry, geometric cuts and ‘futuristic’ pieces were the other highlights of the collection. Is the designer trying to blur the lines between fantasy and reality?
Judge the collection for yourself.
