Peace out bitches! Flashing the peace sign has a whole new meaning since a slew of peace- related products have the hit market. When I first saw this trend start to rear it's hippie-head almost a year ago I got scared, really scared. Now I pretty much said "f-it" ... who doesn't love a little peace?
My favorite peace product is the Omni Peace tee shirt, which can be purchased at Kitson and Fred Segal (I am sure ...

We all have our classic khaki trench correct? It's time to spice things up in many clothing categories but the trench looks quite delectable in a bevy of colors. Colored trenches are alluring because they have a classic cut but unexpected color. It's the ideal way to achieve a classically modern look. There I go contradicting myself again . . .

Put on your pearls girls! I know the majority of you prefer diamonds but pearls â€" long and lean ones â€" are experiencing a rebirth. My motto is anything that SJP wears, grants trend status; however, I don't think pearls can be considered trendy. They are classic! From Coco herself, to the sidewalks of Hollywood on Ashlee Simpson to the woman who embodies Carrie Bradshaw, a long strand of pearls, or two, or three, is new again.

Black and white has had so many incarnations in the past year. It's definitely evolved and it's still relevant â€" only today, it's textural black and white. Beading, ruching, sheer fabrics, feathers and all of the above, make for a black and white cocktail perfect for a cocktail party. Madonna knows it, and now you do.

Randomly, Little Red Riding Hood made an appearance on the catwalks of LA Fashion Week. Except, the brave little girl came in the form of tall, beanpole models showing off a Fall 2008 trend: hoods. Striped cardigans had hoods at the Whitley Kros show (left); coats at the Alexis Lamontagna collection came hooded (right); and one of Octavio Carlin's silk dresses even incorporated the style. Before hoods signified a laid-back style, now they are a symbol of dressed-up ...

Maybe Angelina was onto something when she whipped out her Versace black leather pants in November. Though I've always felt no one wears leather pants better than Slash from Guns n' Roses, these ladies are rockin' and rollin'. One thing is for sure: You have to be confident to pull off leathery, liquidy pants. Vanessa Paradis (left) is married to Johnny Depp so enough said, Ashley Olsen is Ashley Olsen so she's happy as a clam, and Portia de ...

Quick change artists will be attracted to the fashionable functionality of fold-over handbags. One minute it's a tote, the next it's a clutch, then it's a boho. A relative of the convertible bag, design trickery like this makes the high price tag seem not so. Or is that just me rationalizing fashion again?

For a less in-your-face approach to the overarching artsy trend than straight up brush strokes, there are watercolor ways. Delicate, ethereal, but still crafty, pastel and vibrant hues have formed together to create beauties like Rachel Bilson's Zac Posen. I'm torn â€" I love the boldness of brush strokes but the mystique of watercolor ways. Guess I'll have to give both a go!

The band rocks, and so do these accessories. The block party has been going strong for about a year now â€" something about warm weather and color blocking really clicks. I enjoy colorblocking an outfit with individual pieces, creating my own creative color combo. The trend has trickled into shoes, bags and jewelry, so keep partying . . .

I am guilty of it. Celebs are guilty of it. We're all guilty of dressing like what Mother Nature delivered that day. If it's dark & stormy outside, the temptation to reflect that through your dress is palpable. If you have the energy to resist and wear bright colors and a smile, go for it; if you just want to throw on some cozy, dark layers feel free to do that too. Just promise me one thing: always try to ...

In the world of wine, corkage is something entirely different as in the wonderful world of fashion. In Fab land, corkage implies a light hearted '70s sex appeal, via shoes. Turned off already? Cork isn't for everyone, but if you have some Farrah Fawcett just waiting to break free, take one of these flirty pairs for a ride.

Wasn't I just praising jet hued gowns of Oscars past? Call it red carpet ESP, or a mere coincidence, but many ladies dared to go bold in noir colored gowns at this year's Oscars. Some of them I love â€" Penelope's feathery Chanel and Swank's embellished Versace â€" and some fell flat for me, mainly, Garner's ruffled Oscar de la Renta. Alas, these all have something in common: they're black, but far from boring.

While many chose to let the gowns speak for themselves and go with bare necks on the red carpet, these ladies were rocking knockout necklaces. From Nicole Kidman's dramatic icicle-like layered necklace to Jennifer Gardner's choker, all of these ladies had a little, or a lot, of frosting on their necks.

Beading, feathers, rosettes, sequins and scallops . . . what would an Oscars red carpet be without a little haute couture embellishment? Hilary Swank, Jessica Alba, Marion Cotillard, Anne Hathaway, and Penelope Cruz made sure they had the little details covered, from their bodices all the way down to their trains.
To get a better look at this evening's embellishments,
