Some people do not rent simply because they prefer buying it. When they buy it, it is there’s to keep. If you are looking to build up your movie collection, then this is a great idea. Owning the movie is much better.

I used to have an account in the next town over. However, this all changed when they overcharged me. They said that three movies were not turned in, when I had turned them in on time. I had to pay the fee, even though they had them. This still disappoints me to this day. Besides, they’re expensive. Come on, five bucks to rent a movie?

In our town, we have to drive a distance before we are able to get to the nearest video store. Yes, we live in a small town, but I don’t regret it. However, when it comes to there being no video stores around, it can be harsh. That’s okay, because number one and two are my options.
You Won’t Watch It
Some people rent movies and they never watch it. Personally, I think this is a waste of money.

I believe many movie stores are going down because of things like redbox. Redbox will allow you to get your movies for one dollar a day. This is definitely a good way to watch movies for cheap.

Netflix is my best friend. Recently, they raised the prices, but it’s still not that bad. You can stream movies straight from your computer. I like to stream mine through my Wii. I also heard that you can stream movies through the Xbox 360 console. If you do not already have a Netflix account, then you should definitely invest in one. It doesn’t cost that much money each month and depending on the plan you have, you get to rent a DVD for free and keep it for as long as you want.
Those are 7 reasons not to rent a movie from movie stores. Of course, you can probably think of more reasons than this. I am interested in hearing why you do not rent movies from the movie store. Or, if you rent them, why do you prefer the movie store?
