Top 10 Best Shampoos ...

Top 10 Best Shampoos ...
By Lyndsie

I am always changing shampoos. It's good for your hair to make a change sometimes, plus I am quite prone to buying whatever is on sale, as long as it smells good. Because of that trait, I have tried a lot of shampoos. Some of them are terrible, but the top 10 best shampoos on my list have made it into my permanent rotation, so I thought I would share them with everyone!

1. Garnier Fructis Fortifying Daily Shampoo

Garnier Fructis Fortifying Daily Shampoo Price: $4.99 at target.com
Garnier is one of my favorite brands anyway. I also use several of their hair care products. I like the shampoo because it smells nice and the shampoo leaves my hair soft. If there's one thing I cannot abide, it's a shampoo that leaves my hair feeling rough and icky. I've never had that problem with Garnier, even when I've just colored my hair.

2. Herbal Essence Hydrolicious Featherweight Shampoo

Herbal Essence Hydrolicious Featherweight Shampoo Price: $2.69 at target.com
I'll be honest right up front, I love most Herbal Essence shampoos, especially those in the Hydrolicious line. I love Tousle Me Softly and all of those, but the Featherweight shampoo is one of my favorites because it is so light. Its lightweight quality carries over to styling as well, and it leaves my hair bouncy. I hate shampoos that make my hair feel weighed down, you know?

3. Umberto Dry Clean Shampoo

Umberto Dry Clean Shampoo Price: $8.99 at target.com
Some days, I just don't have time to wash my hair, you know? That's supposed to be good for it, a lot of experts say you shouldn't wash your hair every day. But do you ever have those days where your hair looks and feels greasy and grungy, but you still have no time or desire to wash it? Yeah. I have those a lot, and Umberto is one of the only dry shampoos I've ever tried that actually leaves my hair looking as good as it does when I was it.

4. Matrix Biolage Bodifying Shampoo

Matrix Biolage Bodifying Shampoo Price: $16.00 at target.com
Although on the expensive side, I will always buy Biolage products when they are on sale, especially the shampoo. The primary reason, honestly, is because I love the way it smells. It always makes me feel like I just walked right out of the salon. Plus, when my hair starts feeling blah and damaged, this is always where I turn.

If you're in the relentless hunt for the perfect mascara, that not only volumizes but also gives your lashes the much-needed lift, then you should absolutely give the dior show mascara a try. It's undeniably one of the best mascaras that guarantees both length and volume while leaving no clumps behind.

5. Pantene Color Hair Solutions Shampoo

Pantene Color Hair Solutions Shampoo Price: $5.49 at target.com
I went through a long phase where I would not put Pantene on someone else's hair, let alone my own. However, their recent improvements made me give the brand another try and I'm not sorry I did. The new formulas aren't as heavy as the old ones, they leave my hair feeling clean and light, and they are great after I've just colored my hair.

6. Nexxus Botanical Shampoo

Nexxus Botanical Shampoo Price: $8.69 at target.com
This is another choice I like just because it smells divine. Plus, I like the effect botanical formulas have on my hair when it is feeling dry and damaged. Sometimes, but not always, you have to go a little bit expensive just to make sure you care for your hair.

7. Ted Gibson Hair Color Shampoo

Ted Gibson Hair Color Shampoo Price: $24.99 at target.com
Which brings me to Ted Gibson. This is sort of like that Color Glaze, shampoo, and conditioner by John Frieda, but times ten. When this goes on sale or I feel like splurging, I'm all over it. There are several colors to choose from, and it keeps you from having to use hair dyes to touch up your rooms.

8. Biosilk Hydrating Shampoo

Biosilk Hydrating Shampoo Price: $10.99 at target.com
I love the way Biosilk makes my hair feel afterward. It's soft and silky and has a definite sheen. Plus, the Hydrating shampoo really does work to leave your hair healthy and hydrated. This is a great choice for me in the winter, because that's about the only time I tend to blow dry my hair a lot.

9. Tresemme Healthy Volume Shampoo

Tresemme Healthy Volume Shampoo Price: $3.84 at target.com
I've always been a huge fan of Tresemme. The Volume shampoo does leave me with a lot of bounce and movement – and, again, this shampoo smells wonderful. That's always a big draw for me!

10. Redken Body Full Shampoo

Redken Body Full Shampoo Price: $14.99 at target.com
Last but most definitely not least, I love Redken products, especially the shampoos. Once again, this makes me feel like I just stepped out of the salon. This is another shampoo that gives my hair a lot of body. I love it during the winter too, because my hair so often falls flat.

You don't have to pay a fortune to find a great shampoo, which makes me very happy. I love finding awesome shampoos at an affordable price. What are your favorite shampoos? Do any of you use the “on sale, I'm gonna get it” method?

i usually am always trying new shampoos in hope of finding the perfect one i guess. one of my favorites is tresemme moisture rich, it leaves your hair amazingly soft. (as long as you use the conditioner as well)

i have really oily hair so i have wash it nearly every single day or else it gets greasy i tried the powder and hair dryer trick but honestly its made my hair feel worn down nd hot please help

I've been trying very hard to grow my hair out after I got a bad, short haircut earlier this year. I've been deep conditioning and sleeping on a satin pillowcase, but my hair just grows so slowly! Do you reccomend any good shampoo specifically for dry, coarse, slightly wavy hair? Thanks!

P.S. btw, my favourite one is Elseve.

Pantene is terrible, so it annoys me it was on here for so many of the options. Its actually a cheap with cheap ingredients. If you really want to preserve your color, and find something that makes your hair look even better, I have tried the Shielo Color Protect Shampoo. I always color my hair just a bit, and this has saved me soooo much money on color jobs at the salon. It keeps the color and you dont see it going down the drain when you shower. The Shielo one is the only one that doesnt bleed color down the drain.
