Yep, you read that headline right. The Wii is overrated. I’m sick of hearing about how great it is and how “it’s good clean fun for the whole family,” “I’m exhausted from playing it for hours, not only is it’s fun but it’s giving me a work out”, “I love Wii Sports and I don’t even like Sports!” The Wii is more fun than an Xbox 360 or a PS3 you say? It’s just so original and such a blast to play with? Well thats nice.

The Wii came out in November. Let’s see - November, December, January, February, March, April - and I still can’t get my hands on one one yet! When a Wii does show up somewhere online, it’s always as a $500+ package and I refuse to spend $500 on something that should be available for $250 as it was originally intended. So yes, I am bitter. Very, Very bitter. I’m sick of all of you talking about how much fun the Wii is to own while my Xbox 360 sits collecting dust as I wait for more games to come out for it that I would actually like to play.

So yes, I stand by my contemptuous conclusion that the Wii is overrated. Who needs one anyway?

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go get out my sleeping bag and camp out near Nintendo World in NYC on the chance that they get a shipment in this weekend.
