So my sister-in-law and a close family friend are throwing an engagement party for FI and I Dec 22nd. We know the date is a lil crazy, but the engagement party is for close family and friends, so we are still expecting a pretty good turn out. They went all out with this engagement party, even doing custom invitations and having it at a very nice country club in upstate New York, I am very appreciative of there gesture, and I want to give them both a nice hostess gift. But here is where I run into a problem.

They come in packs of four, so I thought I could also get some (nice) hot coco/coffee and package that with it.
However, my concern is that this is to "holidayish". Having a Christmas Eve birthday, I know from personal experience that I hate when people combine my birthday gifts with a Christmas theme...so I'm not trying to do that just because the engagement party happens to be a couple days before Christmas. Do you think it would be better to get non-holiday mugs? I think the snowman are cute and can be "winter mugs' what do you think? Does anybody have any great ideas for hostess gifts?
