I didn't know that I would be taking such a long break from this blog when I published my last entry but that's how it ended up working out, it's just something that happened. However, I'm coming back now and what better way than to let you know about my favorite things for 2006? All the cool kids are doing it.
Here are a few of my favorites products I discovered this year, my six for '06...
From the moment I smelled this perfume, it was love at first sniff. I love powdery scents and this is a great everyday scent for me. It features base notes of musk, vanilla and sandalwood. It also features top notes of lemon and bergamot. All of these notes work beautifully together. This scent has lead me to try more of Creative Scentualization's perfumes and I'm already hooked. You can find Perfect Veil at La Creme Beauty.
I'm all about low maintenance beauty and this is one of my all time favorite products. I only discovered it this year and it's replaced every other lip stain I have. Cupid's Breath and Liquid Kiss are my favorite shades, both are variations of red. The color of your lips can be as low-key or intense as you want it to be, this product provides great buildable color. You can find Vincent Longo's Lip & Cheek Gel Stain at Sephora.
I can't thank Colleen enough for mentioning this product to me. This product contains glycolic acid and actually exfoliates all the icky dead skin on your feet. Try slathering this on your feet and cover them up with some nice thick socks for a few nights straight and you'll be amazed when you finally take a rasp to your feet. You can find Philosophy's Soul Owner at Sephora.
This is the product that inspired me to try and make my own whipped shea butter. It's the best I have ever tried... it's not greasy, has a nice texture to it and smelled so good that I almost wanted to lick myself. You can find Product Body's Whipped Shea Butter at Product Body.
I seem to be drawn to highlighting products, this one was no exception. I love the lovely pink glow that this product gives my skin. In a sea of gold or silver based highlighters, a pink highlighter with hints of blue is a refreshing change. It's opened my mind to other highlighting possibilities. You can find Duwop's Ice at Sephora.
Being a girl with a love for eyeshadow, I couldn't leave this one off my list. I love everything about these eyeshadows... the bold colors, texture, pigmentation and presentation. What's not to like? I cannot wait until new shades come out in spring, including new neutral colors. You can find Urban Decay's Deluxe Eyeshadow at Sephora.
