Mashed potatoes is something that my daughter enjoys doing! She sits there and watches me peel and cut the potatoes, then waits for them to boil. When they are boiled and cooled down, she knows what time it is! I mash them down just a little and get it going for her, then she does the rest. She loves to add butter in them. I put salt, because I’m afraid she’ll put a bit too much salt. This is definitely something fun to do with your kids.

5 Chicken and Rice

My daughter doesn’t really like rice, but she loves chicken and yellow rice! However, she will not eat rice by itself. I think she’ll grow out of it, though, because when I was a kid, I didn’t like rice. She helps me cook the rice. I don’t let her around the chicken though when it’s not cooked. Once the chicken is cooled down, I let her tear it up in pieces and then put it in the rice. She thinks it is so fun!

You provide the bread and their choice of meat and let them make it. My little girl loves making sandwiches. I still remember when she made her own peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She did it just right the first time around! She’s pretty cool, because she also knows how to pour her own bowl of milk for cereal without overflowing the bowl, like you see kids doing on those commercials, so are those commercials myths?
