It is important that you let the guy know that you have a child. You should do this from day one. Be honest with the guy.

Of course, you should be concerned about your children. The children are not used to sharing their mommy, so you need to sit down and talk with them. Let them know that you still care about them and always will.

Surely, you should not have sex on the first nigh. Before you have sex with the guy, make sure you get to know him first. Also, when and if you do, make sure you wear protection. Speaking in protection, never rely on the guy to have it on him. Carry protection with you just in case.

Yes, you may be trying hard to pick up a guy, but dressing trashy in my book isn’t a great idea. By doing this, you will be getting the wrong attention and you don’t want those type of guys around you or your kids.

I do not know about you, but people who act all depressed make me depressed. I do not like being depressed. Therefore, I try to stay away from those that are depressed. Try to smile and laugh as much as you can. Did you know that just by smiling, you will be releasing “happy hormones” into your body? Try it out and see!

Yes, the truth is out now. I do not like it when someone starts a conversation by saying “Hi, I’m a single mom …” This frustrates me. What are we supposed to say to that? At a dinner date, stop focusing on the fact that you are a single mom – as long as the guy knows, that’s the last time you have to bring it up. Some act as if their name has become “single mom.” You are just like anyone else in the world and you will be treated just like anyone else is. You’re a single mom, yes, but there’s no reason to focus on this fact.
Those are my 8 dating tips for single moms. Can you think of any other tips you would like to add in here?
