Everybody's talking about spring trends, which always makes me perk up and take notice. Some of them are so crazy that it makes them interesting – not necessarily wearable, but definitely interesting! With that in mind, here are 7 trends to watch out for in the coming seasons – even if it's only so you can beware of them!

That singular '70s style of glam is coming back … for better or for worse. Well, it's not really that bad. Because it's a modern take, it's got a definite bohemian edge, and what glamor there is will be much more sophisticated. Shimmering, flowing dresses are going to be especially popular, and that's cool. The return of high waisted pants … not so sure about that.

If you want to get hardcore, spring is the time to do it, because it's all about biker chic chicks. It's sort of destined to take the place of the military style, except I don't think anything will ever really take the place of the military style. It's been around for 10 years, after all. Anyway, just be on the lookout for lots of metallic clothing, lots of leather and studs and buckles and boots.

And if biker chic isn't quite your thing, maybe you'd prefer to look on the punkier side of life. I've been waiting for this trend forever, and I am so excited! You can go punk rock pretty with leather, ripped up stockings, blackwatch plaid, silver hardware, and any number of other items. Punk crosses over with a lot of other styles, so the odds are good you've already got some components hiding in your drawers.

The '60s are also coming back with plenty of modern appeal. Actually, it's a medley of 1950s and 1960s elegance – you can't go wrong with that. This is a really feminine trend, with sheathe dresses that show off curves and touch down below the knees. Full skirts are also in, along with bright colors, fresh prints, and light, flowing fabrics.

Lace has been in, and as it gets warmer, you'll start to see lots of crochet as well. You'll also start to see macrame, which sounds a lot less appealing than it actually looks. These are both part of the whole '70s fashion revival, as well, so there will be plenty of crocheted looks from which to choose.

Guess what? Bell bottoms are in again! Not only that, but wide legged jeans and pants in general will be making an appeal. I used to wear these all the time when they saw a revival in the late 1990s, but I don't know how excited I am now. I mean, wide legged jeans do just that – they make your legs look really wide!

Finally, don't be looking for even hems. Skirts and dresses, especially, will be getting a lot asymmetrical hems. Specifically, the hems will be longer in the back than they are in the front. Shirts will benefit from this as well, but it will mostly be seen in dresses.
And there you have it! Some of the hottest trends for the upcoming spring season. These are by no means all of them, though. Do you have any other ones you'd like to share?
