If your hair is blonde, add light beige highlights. If you hair is light brown, go for dark blonde streaks. For medium and dark brown hair color, place caramel brown slivers through and through. If your color is jet black, light brown highlights look more natural.

If the highlights are too dark, use a lighter shade of dye. If it’s not light enough, use more dye and wait 5 more minutes.

Highlight the parts of hair around your face first. Use small strands of hair. If you can see through the strand, then you know the strip of hair is the perfect size.

Use the 3-finger guide. Place your fingers as if you were counting 3 fingers and place them at the crown. The areas your fingers touch are the places you need to add the highlight.
