Although celebrity news is kind of my forte (in that it gives me a reason for watching E! News and reading HuffPost all the time), I don't normally obsess over one single celebrity couple's #relationship. I mean, you know,
nine ten times out of ten, I don't know them and they aren't going to call me to ask for advice or anything. Even though they should. The thing is, I've always loved Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore as a couple, and the recent influx of articles detailing their "split" coupled with some vague but intriguing Twitter wars finally got to me. This particular are-they-aren't-they trainwreck has officially gone viral, so let's take a #look at the few things that are really for-sure.
So far, honestly, there are only rumors and a few enigmatic tweets to go by -- and, unfortunately, a lot of media outlets are mistaking those #things for hard truth. Then again, it's kind of understandable. The last #time a split was predicted due to infidelity, Ashton naturally took to Twitter to chastise any news outlets and gossip sites for believing the girl in question (who, in addition to claiming she and Ashton did the deed while Demi was gone, also insisted that the two had an open marriage). Demi followed suit, just to show support to her husband. Furthermore, the two have become notorious for expression love and #affection via their tweets. Now, however, we have this:
aplusk: "When you ASSUME to know that which you know nothing of you make an ASS out of U and ME"
mrskutcher: When we are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger. -Epictetus
And that's it. One can hardly predict the end of a marriage through a social media network, but that's what a lot of outlets are doing. I'll grant it seems a little suspect, simply because they're usually so lovey-dovey and typically quick to defend their union -- and besides, it's their business. It's just that sometimes you can't help but be curious. So what do you think is going on?
