1. "I-Don’t-Really-Want-to-do-It" Type of Sex

You know what I’m talking about – I think this is one of the worst types of sex. When the partner really does not want to do it, but they do it anyway simply because they think the other one is going to be upset if they don’t do it. Yeah, that type of sex.

2. Injured Sex

You would think that having something as little as a sprained ankle would not put a damper in bed, but it can. Just ask someone who has a sprained ankle right now and see what they tell you. Sure, it’s possible, but it might not be the best.

3. Sad Sex

Sad sex is definitely going to be on my list. It’s merely impossible to feel sexual when sad. I think it would be hard to do it with someone, when they are sad and look like they are going to cry right in the middle of it. Somewhere, I actually read that women’s tears have a chemical in them that turns a man off.

4. "Not-in-Love-Just-for-Fun" Sex

The just for fun type of sex, in my book, is bad. Sure, if you are in love and have sex “just for fun,” then there’s nothing wrong with it. Do you understand what I am getting at?

However, if you're engaging in this "no strings attached" style without genuine affection, it's like eating a hollow calorie — a momentary pleasure that lacks substance and sustenance. It might feel exhilarating at first, but without the emotional connection, it often leaves you feeling empty and dissatisfied. Remember, intimacy is not just a physical act; it's a profound exchange that ideally should include emotional depth and mutual respect. Without these, sex can quickly become another forgettable activity, robbed of its true potential to connect and enrich our lives.

5. Forced Sex

Forced sex should definitely be on the list of worst types of sex to have. I shouldn’t have to go any further than this. It's wrong, it's damaging, it's also illegal. HELLO!

6. BDSM

For some, BDSM can be fun. However, a lot of people do not like this type of sex. I never understood why someone would want to be abusive during this time. I mean, come on, isn’t this a time when you are supposed to be giving your partner love?

7. Drunken Sex

Drunken sex in any way, shape or form is going to be one of the worst types of sex. At least, in my opinion it would be. I think that it is even worse when you wake up the next morning and don’t remember having sex, but the details and reminders are all around you.

Nice post.

Actually bdsm is the dominant of the relationship pleasing the submissive of the relationship through pain and discipline. Both have equal power which means they can both decide if it's too much for the sub. Abuse in bdsm is a strict no-no. Bdsm is pain WILLING received by the sub. Abuse is the stripping of power from the other where pain is forced upon the weaker in abusive relationships.

I think Dasia is trying to make a point here that BDSM sex is not abusive. As a consultant for a company built to empower women and educate them on sexual health, I wanted to agree here. That type of sex is more about trust, change of control, and heightened sensation than anything else.

Being pissed drunk is awful.yet I manage to be aware and remember. But the worst is sex on bars.... you really don't remember anything at all...

Ya, i liked reading your articles until i read your take on BDSM. To say it's abusive, really does show your ignorance. Seeing it talked about that way really does put me off of your website. I already get enough judgement from people like you who have obviously never tried it or even done research about it, judging my your choice of words. You misinforming the general public really is disrespectful to those of us who participate in it and actually understand it.
