Legendary record producer, Phil Spector, is on trial for the first degree murder of actress, Lana Clarkson. On February 3, 2003, Lana Clarkson was found dead of a gunshot wound to the face in the foyer of Spector's LA 'castle.' Reports say that Clarkson met Spector that night at the House of Blues, where she was a hostess in the VIP room, and invited her back to his home "for one drink before she went home." It is notoriously known that Spector was obsessed with guns, and four women testified that he had pulled guns on them when they tried to leave his house.
Spector's limo driver that night testified that Spector came out of the house holding a gun, his white suit covered in blood, allegedly saying, "I think I just killed someone." His defense now says it was a suicide, and Lana Clarkson had gun residue on her hands. Theory of what may have gone down: Clarkson wanted to leave, Spector said no, pulled a gun, and shoved it in her mouth (forensics have shown bruising on her tongue due to force). Prosecutors theorize that Clarkson had gun residue from trying to pry the gun from her mouth when shot.
But, a new clue has been discovered. According to Court TV, investigators found a three-pack of Viagra tucked in a leather briefcase monogrammed "PS" on a chair a few feet from the body of Lana Clarkson, with two of the pills missing. The driver also testified that Spector retrieved the briefcase from his Mercedes shortly after he and Clarkson arrived at his home. On cross-examination, Spector's attorney said that Spector did not take the pills. Apparently, Spector's blood was never tested for the presence of Viagra.
