Not all of us are born with a silver spoon in our mouths. Not all of us will become millionaires by joining the most inane reality TV show. However, we see these celebrities and heiresses and socialites almost every day. Sometimes we wonder what it must be like to be ridiculously rich. I don't know about you but I image the ridiculously rich will not bat an eyelash ordering one of these most expensive cocktails in the world.

**Price: **Approx. $70,000 at Movida nghtclub, London
Apparently, there are people who will pay that much for a glass of an alcoholic drink. This cocktail, served only at Movida, is made with the finest of ingredients. The Flawless is a mix of Louis XII cognac, half a bottle of Cristal Rose champagne, a dabble of brown sugar, and angostura bitters. It is then topped with flakes of 24 carat edible gold leaf. And to make you feel that you get your money's worth, the glass comes with an 11-carat white gold ring. You drink this with two guards present, too. Seriously, I shake my head at how ridiculous this sounds.
Price: Approx. $50,000 at Harvey Nichols Department Store, Manchester, England
What exactly is in this drink that you need to shell out approximately $50,000 for a glass? How about the undying love of your girlfriend? This drink is made of strawberry and lychee liqueurs and rosé champagne. A spritz of lemon juice is then added and the drink is served in a chilled champagne flute. But where do you get the value for your money? This cocktail comes with a pink cocktail ring. It is an 18-carat beauty with pink tourmaline and diamond stones. Phew! No wonder it's one of the most expensive cocktails in the world.
Price: Approx. $18,000 at Tokyo Ritz-Carlton
This much for a martini? People who think that they are James Bond (or one of his nemesis) will most certainly want to sample this pricey drink. This is simply chilled Grey Goose vodka served with a hint of fresh lime juice. It is then stirred or shaken and served over a 1-carat diamond. Of course, a drink with this name (and price tag) would include a diamond.
**Price: **Approx. $10,000 at The Algonquin Hotel
This drink is not made of the rarest or finest of ingredients. In fact, it is made with the usual martini ingredients. But what makes it one of the most expensive cocktails in the world? The luxury comes in the form of special preparations. The Algonquin Hotel will need notice of 72 hours if you want to sample this drink. Within this preparation time, you will need to visit the private jeweler of the hotel so that you can choose your diamond. Diamond, you ask? Well, for this pricey drink, the “rock” is a real diamond.
**Price: **Approx. $7,500 at Skyview Bar, Burj Al Arab, Dubai
What's up with the name? Well, the name is the price of the drink in dirham. There are many factors that contribute for making this one of the most expensive cocktails in the world. For one, this is served in one of the most expensive hotels in the world. The drink is a mix of 55-year old Macallan single malt whiskey and homemade passion fruit sugar. The ice cubes served with it are made with water from the Macallan distillery in Scotland. And to finish off this luxurious drink, it is served in a Baccarat 18-carat gold glass with an oak stirrer made from a Macallan cask. Kinda classy but still insanely pricey.
**Price: **Approx. $4,300 at Piano Bar, Sheraton Park Tower Hotel, London
That number is actually just a base price. This can go as high as $18,000 per glass. The main ingredients of this very expensive cocktail are Charles Heidsieck Vintage 2001 champagne and Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac. It is served with a dash of Angostura bitters, a sugar cube, and a .06-carat diamond. The price variation is due to the fact that you can choose other gemstones to “garnish” your drink. Where I'm from, cocktails are garnished with salt. Or carrots.
**Price: **Approx. $3,000 at Mezz, Foxwoods Resort Casino,
You probably know by now that these expensive drinks come with bling. The Sapphire Martini is no different. This is a mix of Blue Curacao, Bombay Sapphire gin, and a splash of dry vermouth. It is served in a glass with a rim of blue sugar. Of course, to make you (or your date) feel that you get your money's worth, the drink comes with a pair of sapphire and diamond earrings.

Price: Approx. $3,000 at Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas
A drink with this saucy of a name has three very pricey ingredients. This is a very luxurious mix of Cristal Rosé champagne, Hennessy Ellipse and Grand Marnier Cent Cinquantenaire. It is then topped with 23-carat gold flakes and liquid gold syrup. Of course, this drink also comes (or decorated, at least) with precious stones. You will sip this using a golden straw embellished with diamonds. Because nothing makes you feel like you're living the life like a golden and diamond-studded straw. Of course.
Are these ridiculous or what? It's insane to think that a single glass of one of these most expensive cocktails in the world is equal to a downpayment for a house in many countries. Makes you think that life is funny and unfair. Ooops, sorry to end in a sour note! But tell me, will you shell out thousands and thousands of dollars for these?
