Yesterday, Zara and I were treated to a glimpse of the new season Lulu Guinness handbags which will not be instore until 2008. Famous for her quirky clutch bags, Lulu Guinness is a favourite amongst the fashion pack for her individual style. Her new collection sees her moving away from this slightly with the introduction of bigger daytime totes.
This slouchy style bag was a key piece of her new collection with this style being available in a range of colours. The leather was so soft and the size was perfect for carrying everything you need. The drawstring detail means it's easy to open up and find everything inside.
However, she did not completely ignore her signature style and created a few structured ladylike totes taking inspiration from works of art. Lulu is generally inspired by the things around her so I imagine this is based on a piece of art from her home. The patent tote is great for next season when we see the patent trend continue and develop with the new extended palette.
For a few items Guinness has teamed up with sisters Daisy and Poppy De Villeneuve to create a small collection including this clutch (above). The bags all feature scrabble letters spelling out 'What'. I particularly liked this clutch which is also available in black.
The whole range will be available in stores and online from 2008. In the meantime, check out her latest collection at LuluGuinness.com.
