ELLE STYLE AWARDS 2007 at Energetica

The most talked about party of the Amsterdam Fashion Week was the ELLE STYLE AWARDS. And that wasn't because of their cocktails (more about them later).

The Elle Style Awards started in 2004 and are growing bigger and bigger every year. This year, they were held at the museum Energetica in Amsterdam on the second day of the Amsterdam fashion week. Sponsored by H&M, Nokia, Frieda and Nissan, the Elle Style Awards aim is to choose the best up coming styling talent of the year.

After a strict selection, there were only 5 finalists left. H&M provided the basis clothing with 10 items and they could complete their high fashion catwalk creations with national and international vintage design. They were backed up by Elle's own stylists Esther Coppoolse and Bonnie Orleans Voss.

Finalists were:
- Sophia Bentoh
- Danny Daniel
- Patricia Giesbers
- Eveline du Pon
- Auke Sprangers

For the Elle H&M Stylist Award the jury (Piet Paris, Fiona Hering, Milou van Rossum, Percy Irausquin, Carmen Kemmink, Maarten Spruyt, Cara Shiffelers) elected Patricia Giesbers for most promising Stylist talent for 2007.

Hadassah de Boer was elected most stylish Dutch celebrity, because she represents the Elle magazine with her creativity and personality. Other nominees were singer Anouk, actrice Halina Reijn, politician Mariko Peters and writer Naema Tahir.

And the DIOR BELLE OF THE BALL AWARD - the award for the most beautifully dressed woman of the night - went to Sunny Jansen.

After the show the party started, and with free cocktails! I love the Porno Star cocktail, I don’t know the ingredients, but it was so fresh and powerful, absolutely lovely! Beautiful models also served some strange fruits in a tree with lights, but I leave that to your imagination...

All the ladies of the evening were given the Elle Bag holder - an original idea – so next time you sit in a restaurant you know where to put your bag and not on the floor like usual, thanks Elle.
