A strong immune system is needed. For those of you who enjoy being healthy (I know all of you do), you need to know some ways to boost your immune system. Today, you are in luck, because I am going to give you 9 ways to boost your immune system …
Be sure to stop into that lemonade stand and get you a cup of fresh lemonade. This is one of the best ways to build the acid-alkali balance up. Apple cider vinegar is another good way to build the body’s alkalinity, but it is not going to taste as good as lemons!
Be sure to drink your water! Did you know that most headaches come about, because you are no getting enough water? In daily doses, you should be drinking half your body weight in pounds.
I’m not sure if I could ever do this one. Stop drinking coffee and other drinks with caffeine. Caffeine is only robbing your body of vitamins and minerals. It is also known to dehydrate you. If you drink coffee, make sure you add an extra two glasses of water per cup of coffee. Mineral supplements will help the damage the caffeine does to your body as well.
You need to make sure you get your right amount of fruits and vegetables each day. Those fruit and vegetables will give you the nutrients your body has been craving. They will also help boost the immune system.
Don’t forget that nurturing yourself is needed, even for a healthy immune system. Try to get rid of any stress you may have by going out and having a good time. Go for a good massage and enjoy the spa.
I always say that you should be getting at least eight hours of sleep each night. I know that I need to practice what I preach with this one, because I am lucky if I get five hours of sleep.
If you are a vegetarian, then you need to still make sure you get enough protein in your body. Protein helps keep the body, mind and immune system healthy. When a diet is low in protein, it tends to stress the immune system amongst other things.
I know, the breath may not be so nice after consuming garlic and onions, but they are great for boosting that immune system, so add some to your meals. Onions and garlic retain their antibacterial qualities.
You should consume healthy food. Eat more ocean fish, yogurt, sea greens, broccoli and ginger. Spinach, carrots and sweet potatoes are great for you. Also, don’t forget the whole grains and don’t be afraid of cayenne pepper.
There you have 9 ways to boost your immune system. How many of you do these things?
