So many people wish they had a better mother. You can’t change who your mom is. I know many who do not have good mothers and it’s pretty sad. It makes me realize how thankful I am for the one I have. Spending time together is a big start. This could include playing games together, painting nails, doing makeup, watching a movie or doing arts and crafts.

Come on, what do girls like to do the most? You know, besides talk about boys. They like to go shopping. Therefore, you should go shopping together. This always builds up a bond as you learn what each other likes.
You should schedule a dinner together. Even if it is just one time a month, you should have that special day together – just you and your daughter. Even when they are 5 years old, this is a good plan.
I always think that having an open relationship is a good idea. You know you have a good relationship when you are able to talk about your daughter's relationships together. You could even share some stories of your relationships from the past, where you went wrong and what you should have done differently. Maybe, this way, she would learn from your mistakes before she actually makes them.
You should always have a forgiving attitude. It is important to realize that no matter who you are, you are going to make mistakes. Think back to when you were your daughter's age, do you remember all of those mistakes you made? How would you have liked your mother to handle it back then? How do you think you should handle those mistakes now?

No matter what, as a mother, you should always listen to what your daughter has to tell you. Don’t just listen, but communicate. Let her see that you are really listening and you care about what she is saying. Never push her away and act like she is not important.

Allow her to make her own decisions. Encourage her independence. You should always allow them to have some control over their life and not smother them every second you get. I believe this is a good way to build up a relationship with your daughter.
These are 7 tips on building a good relationship with your daughter. Even though my daughter is 6, I do some of these things with her. Somehow, she especially loves to go shopping for clothes. Yes, she’s definitely a girl. So, do you have any other ideas?
