The Weekend Read

What's been happening around this neck of the woods? Well it all hasn't been Fashion Week drama. Life goes on before, during and after they say.

Last week I did a shoot in Long Beach, NY where I found out it's 2 editorials for European Elle... had no clue! So if you see a beach story with fuzzy cozy sweaters, hmm, that might be me.

A shoot I did weeks ago made the Cover and editorial of a new fashion magazine in Mexico called InFashion (I believe). Hard to get copies of but if you've seen it, let me know!

My Harper's Bazaar story (China) sadly is not out in the Oct Issue like I thought. I can only hope it's in the November issue.

An interview I did hit at papierdoll.com. Read my favs of fall makeup trends.

A great online beauty/fashion magazine to view.

Can't get enough of Fashion Week? Sad it's over? Or maybe it passed you by and you're feeling a little left out? Don't worry. Fashiontribes has put together THE most comprehensive roundup of everything that happened in that one crazy week.

Kelly over at Bag Snob Girl put together the best blog posts of the week from a group of great fashion/beauty bloggers.

On another note, this sure caught my attention:

"Taysha Smith Valez, CEO of H. Couture Beauty and designer of The Socialite Collection – a line of ultra luxurious lip color and mascara, has just sold the world’s most expensive mascara and lipstick ever sold in the history of the beauty industry, for 14 million dollars."

Their specially formulated mascara retails for $589.00 retail and the lip color retails for $150.00. Customers get the following fantastic perks: Swarovski crystal encrusted and 18 K Gold Plated Casing, concierge service, lash bodyguards, 24/7 customer service and complimentary lip and lash refills for a year. Additional products that can be purchased with The Socialite Collection are the Lip Plumper for $348 which comes with one free refill and lip liner for $120, which also comes with one full product refill."

You can read the PR release here.
Their website is here.

My first question is: Why?
Second question is: Who bought?
Third question is: Okay, what can I cover in crystals to pay off my credit card debt?

;)

Have a great weekend....
