Olay and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery have joined efforts this month, in honor of Skin Cancer Awareness month, and they are inviting you and a friend to get a free skin cancer screening.
Their premise is that if you have a friend there with you to hold each others hand and be brave together, you will get a screening done, whereas if left to your own devices, you might not do this important task. And did I mention it was FREE? There are 3000 dermatologists participating across the country, you can find one near you right here. I hope you will take advantage of this, and remember to just look and be aware of the skin you’re in - you might notice something wrong WAY before it becomes a huge problem.
If you haven’t read it before, here is my skin cancer story. I was 36 when I got it - this is not a problem just for older folks. Pay attention, wear that sunscreen, and embrace self tanner!
