No Evidence of Crime in Anna Nicole's Death - Preliminary Autopsy Results Are in

I think that it’s too early to call this, but what the hell do I know!

There was no evidence of a crime involved in the death of Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith, and it was not possible to know yet what caused her death, authorities said on Friday.

Seminole tribe Police Chief Charlie Tiger told reporters there was no evidence of crime in the death of Smith, a billionaire’s widow who died suddenly on Thursday in Hollywood, Florida, at age 39.

"At this time we do not make a determination of the cause and the manner of death," Broward County medical examiner Joshua Perper told a news conference after performing an autopsy on Smith’s body.

He said it would take three to five weeks to examine data from the autopsy.

And here’s the results of the autopsy:

The autopsy results are in on the body of Anna Nicole Smith, and according to the southern Florida medical examiner, Smith, 39, died as a result of unknown causes. It has been reported that Smith lived on pills to go to sleep, pills to wake up and other drugs in-between. Her sister and mother both elaborated yesterday that Smith was having drug troubles. No illegal drugs were found at the scene, only prescription drugs and no names on those drug bottles were released. Toxicology results are not yet returned, and more fine tissue exams are needed that could take up to three weeks yet to discover, though no large amounts of drugs were found as part of the stomach contents.
