A day after **Lindsay Lohan, **21, was arrested on July 24 in Santa Monica and charged with suspicion of DUI, driving with a suspended license and cocaine possession, she’s claiming her innocence.
The actress (pictured in her mug shot above) tells Access Hollywood in an email, “Yes. I am innocent... did not do drugs they're not mine. I was almost hit by my assistant Tarin's mom. I appreciate everyone giving me my privacy."
At around 1:30 a.m. on the day of her arrest, police found the actress after responding to a call that she was being chased. Lohan was given a field sobriety test before being taken to the police station. Cops allegedly found cocaine in her pocket during a search at the police station.
Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting that less than two hours before Lindsay was arrested, her lawyer, Blair Berk, got a signal from the SCRAM device Lindsay wore on her ankle. The device sounds an alarm to a designated person when alcohol is detected, and TMZ says Berk was the designee. Berk allegedly tried to find Lindsay, but she was arrested before she could get to her.
