If you have great love for extreme sports, then the iSlide skateboard-like concept ought to appeal to your adventurous side. What makes this different from all other skateboard or similar looking devices on the market is the integration of Segway functionality into a vehicle form factor that can actually be used to ride around. The brainchild of industrial designer Ofir Tal, the iSlide features a single wheel and adopts Segway's famous technology that allows one to balance on the device without having the need to possess the skill of a tightrope walker.
Controlling it is pretty simple - you lean forward to accelerate, while braking is achieved by leaning backwards. Of course, we also have the question on how the iSlide is powered - and the answer lies in a tiny hydrogen fuel cell which keeps the iSlide going on and on. When fully charged, you will be able to zip around on the iSlide at 9mph which is pretty decent to get around the city. If you're an investor who is looking for a good idea to fund, hooking up with Tal might not be such a bad idea after all. At least you don't have to break a sweat while getting around in the iSlide unlike skateboards.
