Spritzing mirrors with Windex. We all do it. Admit it- you've done it too. More than once even (er, we hope so). Rubbed at it in all its chemically-scented cleanliness until you see yourself reflected in toothpaste-spot-free shine.
But when is clean not clean?
We've been so immersed in toxic household cleaners for so many years now that it's become de rigeur to pull out Mr. Clean and splash it on the floor that we'll later pick up a cookie off of (ten second rule not applying), play with a pet or child on, or maybe just scoot around on for fun. (Okay, maybe not all that much fun but you get the idea.)
Problem is, Mr. Clean is actually pretty dang dirty as, like most household products, it's chock-full of ingredients harmful to us and the environment. So the question is: Why douse home sweet home with chemicals when you can wash it with something that is, in fact, sweet? Scrubbing dishes with magnolia, cleaning floors with lemon ginger, and wiping down a kitchen counter with mandarin sounds pretty good to us, and we don't even like cleaning. And the kicker is, it's all clean-clean, as in green clean.
Method is a brand of non-toxic, biodegradable, non-animal tested, super powerful cleaners for home and personal use that not only offers scents like lavender, pink grapefruit, and rosemary mint, but has packaged its products in eye-catching, thoughtfully-designed modern containers that are almost as pleasant to look at as they are to use. (This Glammer owns the grapefruit pear room spray and grapefruit all-purpose cleaner and can attest to the pleasant sniff factor.) They've introduced a few new holiday scents too (Spiced pear? Yes, please.) so there's even more good clean fun to be had.
The line is available in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. and is carried in many Target stores (with a ton more products than can be squished into this little entry) but if you can't find them and would like to check them out (and steal a sniff or two), you can always ring up 877-NO DIRTY and they'll be happy to hook you up. Ahh, it's good to be clean.
