Are you ready for your close-up? I am - with my newest favorite mascara from Tarte Cosmetics. Listen to this name, Lights, Camera, Lashes. It says it all. Tarte, most notably known for their cheek stains, has a most beautifully packaged, absolutely phenomenal mascara. Packaged in a snake skin-like tube - which does take some time getting used to holding such a big wand - but so worth the effort. The bristles are a mix of short and fine, then longer and fuller in such a perfect tapered on the ends, design. The formula: To extend the lashes and keep them there, Tarte uses a combination of Carnuba and Candellia waxes which form a special film-like substance to keep it all in place. And get this - special esters derived from olives, yup... olives, which keep the lashes so strong and so shiny. One slow and even coat on my lashes is all I need for the day. If I want my lashes to make a statement on their own and look like I won the lash lottery, I carefully apply 2 -3 coats, letting them dry for at least 5 minutes in between each coat. On these occasions, I am often asked if I am wearing falsies, who did them, etc. If you have never used anything from Tarte, make Lights, Camera, Lashes ($18) your first purchase and you will not only be hooked on it, but you will quickly fall in love with their other great goodies as well.
