A Plastic Bag is No Substitute for Topshop's Goose Umbrella in This Weather

Spring is most definitely here, but with that comes rain. If you were near Brighton train station at around 8pm last Friday you might have seen me walking around with an M&S plastic bag on my head. As a fashion blogger a plastic bag simply won't do so I've picked some fancy rainwear and accessories. Topshop have a fancy umbrella (left) with geese, frills and a nice leather handle to give you a flouncy, eccentric springtime look. Buy into the neon trend without going down the fluoro leggings route with Dorothy Perkins' compact pink umbrella. Urban Outfitter's cloche hat will keep the rain off and comes in navy, red and ivory. See after the jump for more rainwear and product details.

Patent flats and cropped trousers are a stylish way of keeping dry, and I think they'd suit Marks and Spencer's parka down to the ground. Dove grey can be really flattering, the delicate colour looks good used in Accessorize's cap. Parkas have been making a comeback now as part of the re-emergence of 90's style hi-tech fabrics and sporty cuts. Topshop's pack-a-trench is a more stylish version of those K-Way anoraks everyone used to have at school. Coral is competing with cobalt blue to be the colour of the moment, and it looks great on Dorothy Perkins' parka. Goose umbrella, Topshop: £15. Cloche hat, Urban Outfitters: £9.99. Pink ultra light umbrella, Dorothy Perkins: £8. Check trench, Marks and Spencers: £49.50. Grey cap, Accessorize: £12.Pack-a-Trench, Topshop: £25. Red Parka, Dorothy Perkins: £30.
