I remember wanting to go eat pizza at this one particular restaurant when I was growing up, just because of the Pacman video game in the back room. It was amazing! A good friend of mine had an Atari game system and we'd play Pacman until our hands were sore.

Who can possibly forget about parachute pants or acid wash jeans? If a shirt didn't match one, then it had to match the other. I showed my son my pair of parachute pants when he was in middle school and he looked at me with an appalled expression. “You wore THOSE in public?!”

I remember not only wanting to eat Reese's Pieces candies after watching the movie ET in the theater, but also dressing up like ET while I was eating them. Yes, my mom made me an ET costume, complete with glow in the dark paint on the fingertip and around the red satin heart she appliquéd onto the chest of my ET costume.

I got a kick out of having to explain this phrase to my son one day. He was listening to a song that mentioned waxing on and waxing off and I giggled. He looked at me with a puzzled expression on his face. Once I explained the meaning of it to him, I went down to the library and checked out The Karate Kid so we could watch it together. Needless to say, he didn't think it was as cool as I did when I first saw it.

Well before Pee Wee made headlines by doing things in public that he shouldn't have been doing, he made kids laugh on Saturday mornings. Pee Wee's Playhouse was such an odd show, but it was also great fun. The movies that were based upon this kids' show were just as silly.

I had a special book for my scratch and sniff sticker collection. My friends and I would by sheets of these smelly stickers and swap them with one another. The highlight of a Monday at school was showing off the newest addition to an ever-growing collection of scratch and sniff stickers.

My parents watched Moonlighting every night it was on. I remember thinking Bruce Willis was such a hottie. Even after all these years and with that shiny dome of his, he's still easy on the eyes. Lucky for him he ages very well!

I blame it on my 80's upbringing. I can't pass a fluorescent piece of clothing without at least touching it. I'm drawn to the atrocious color like a moth to a flame. Sure, neon is great if you are out riding your bicycle on a busy roadway or out hunting with a group of guys, but there are some fashion statements that shouldn't be made on a daily basis.
Out of these 8 signs you are an 80's child, which ones do you exhibit? I'm sure reading this list has brought back tons of memories from the good ol' 80s. Feel free to share some of your nostalgic times!
