One of my dreads is losing someone that I love; this is probably something that I share with many other people. Often when it happens you do not know what to do, where to turn and how to move on. Hopefully these 7 tips will help you with coping with a loved ones death.

In order to help cope with the loss of a loved one, at some point you need to be able to find closure. I have heard that many people, when the time is right find some way to say goodbye for now. Some people have taken trips to their loved ones favourite destination or arrange a private memorial.

The chances are that you are not alone in your grieving, there are other people going through a similar experience. They may not feel exactly the same as you but they can share their thought and feelings. Even speaking to people that have experienced loss in the past can help.

Even today, many people maintain the idea that it is a huge sign of weakness to seek help from another person. In my opinion this is not the case, if anything it shows a massive sign of strength by reaching out to professionals and admitting you need assistance.

You may be dubious of them but there are many out there that do not even charge you for their services. They are highly trained professionals and the good ones know exactly what you need at a difficult time. I have watched this help my grandma when she lost her husband.

Even though physically that person has passed on, the memory of them remains embedded in your brain. A part of them will always be with you, this helps me with the fact that I may shortly loose my grandma or at any time loose a loved one.

Maybe someone else that you know is showing their grief by crying whilst you have not shed one tear. This does not mean that you are strange just that everyone shows grief in different way. Everyway is normal.

Let it out, if you feel like crying then cry, if you feel angry that someone special has been taken from you then show anger and frustration. I know that bottling things up inside is not good for you emotionally and physically in the long run.
