Fashion week is always fun and I usually can’t wait to see what the upcoming styles will be. I love shopping for all the new fashion trends that were showcased in the spring for the fall and winter. But the fall fashion shows displayed some really fabulous designs for spring. Here is a sneak peek at 7 of my favorite designers this season.

Flowing fabrics layer long over long, yet warm weather shouldn’t worry you. Sheer nylon, polyester, and silken smocks along with leggings and drop waisted-dresses made for light and airy outfits. For those who want feminine and pretty, Junya delivered in a big way.

Dresses! Ruffles! Lace! And Valentino! A mix as grand and glorious as the name itself. This spring collection boasted dresses of sheer beauty with every feminine touch imaginable. Valentino seized the younger crowd with all eyes looking back to his fall fashions with polished elegance.

Though her pieces made a few heads nod and raised a few eyebrows, the designs were outstanding! Not far from her personal style, other pieces reflected her famous signature minimalist designs, showcasing white, cream, and other pale shades. Flow-y, deep hems marked the softer, sportier, and casual sophistication displayed for spring. A relaxed atmosphere played a key role in Celine’s fashion.

Mock lace, feathers, and romantic music played second to no one in spring design from Chanel. Feminine colors and sophistication reigned like a queen on her throne. Her styles were elegant and lovely, as usual.

Elie Saab stepped back into the 70’s with his spring fashions for 2011. His style forecast for spring included pulse-quickening cocktail dresses in chiffon, sequins, and the season’s essential platform sandals. Perfect styles I fell in love with!

Empire waists, tulle ballerina skirts, and baby doll dress extended the girly feel of Collette Dinnigan and her spring fashions. Her new line bordered on youthful fashions and won big time in my opinion. Though no trend setting collections were debuted, it was pretty and frilly.

I love the fact that long, flow-y dresses and skirts are back in style. I love vintage looks and while I lived through the 70’s, I hated the fashions of the day. Now, older, I enjoy the crazy looks and trends coming back with the new styles. Sophie Albou has a line so spring ready; I can’t wait for spring now! Her models smiled and I like that.
How about you? Who is your favorite designer? And did you like the style they put out this year?
