The easiest way to add class to any room is by putting up a chair rail. Molding brings a room to life and pulls instant sophistication into any room. The chair rail will look fine in just one room, without it extending into other rooms, unless you room is open and part of another room, like a kitchen and dining area.

Before you paint a room, go to the local paint store and browse the color cards to various shades of your color choice. Go home and tape them around the room in random places and heights. Watch the colors, how the shades seem to change with the placement of the sunlight and no light You will have a better idea of how the colors will look on your wall. After you decide on the shade, buy a quart size can of paint and paint a small 4x4 area. Again watch how the shade changes with the sunlight. Now, you can make a good decision on if the color is right for you.
