5 New Movies Opening on October 23 ...

Fancy going to the cinema? There are five big releases this weekend, and with everything from real life to horror, there should be something for everyone!

1 Amelia

Genre: Drama, bibliography
Cast: Hiliary Swank, Richard Gere, Ewan Mcgregor, Virginia Madsen, Christopher Eccleston

I think... This looks interesting. The story centers on Amelia Earhart, as her career develops and she is chosen to be the first female pilot to attempt the daring, nonstop flight across the Atlantic. With an all star cast, this is an unusual film that might be well worth the watch!

Frequently asked questions

2 Cirque Du Freak: the Vampire's Assistant

Genre: Drama, Adventure, Fantasy
Cast: John C.Reilly, Salma Hayek, Ken Watanabe, Chris Massoglia, Josh Hutcherson

**I think...**This is based on books about a teenager who breaks a 200 year truce between two warring factions of vampires. With intense violence, disturbing images and a bearded lady, this film is packed with enough action to make it a blockbuster. Definitely check it out!

3 Motherhood

Genre: Comedy
Cast: Uma Thurman, Anthony Edwards, Minnie Driver
**I think...**No week is complete without watching a comedy, and this one has potential. The film expresses the trials and tests of motherhood, while mixing in light hearted humour, and being very heart warming. Take your mum and a huge tub of popcorn!

4 Saw VI

Genre: Horror
Cast: Tobin Bell, Betsy Russell, Shawnee Smith, Peter Outerbridge
**I think...**this is definitely not one I can watch! With Special Agent Strahm dead, Detective Hoffman emerges as successor to Jigsaw’s legacy. However, when the FBI gets closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game in motion and Jigsaw’s grand scheme is finally understood. Containing violence and torture, this isn’t one for the queasy, but will undoubtedly be a great film!

5 Tim Burton’s Nightmare before Christmas 3-D

Genre: Fantasy, Musical, Family, Animation
Cast: Danny Elfman, Catherine O’Hara, William Hickey, Glenn Shadix, Paul Reubens

**I think...**this will be excellent! If you can only see one film this week, make it this one. Jack Skellington, Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, gets bored and discovers the magic of Christmas Town. Jack decides to bring Christmas to Halloween town, but as his dream of being Santa falls apart, its up to Sally, the rag doll who is madly in love with him, to try and fix things. A brilliant story, for any age.

So which of these are you dying to see? And which were worth the money? Let me know which ones to watch and which to avoid...
