What type of plant do you plan on planting? Before you start, it is important that you learn about the plant. You do not want to plant the plant in the sun, when it does not need direct sunlight. You also do not want to over or under water it.

Do you love those winter gardens? Yeah, but they can be dull. So, brighten them up with some colorful berries! Just because there is snow on the ground and the trees are bare does not mean you have to have a dull garden.
Poinsettias bloom when their daylight hours have been shortened. If you wish to get your poinsettia to bloom in time for the holidays, then you will need to put the plant in darkness for at least twelve hours every night for about ten weeks. The same thing applies to forcing the Christmas Cacti to bloom. As an added note, don’t let your cats around a poinsettia! It’s poison.

If you spray harmful pesticides on your plants, the bugs get into it. Then, the birds come around and eat that bug. What do you think will happen to that bird? So, it would be best if you turn to some organic methods of eliminating those buggies.

Where I used to live, I had cows right next door to me. The neighbors let me get a bucket of cow poop so that I could put it in my garden. I know, this sounds gross to you beginners, but it makes great fertilizer and the plants obviously like it!

Summer time is leaving and winter is approaching. Watch the weather during the winter. When you see a hard freeze coming, making sure you cover those plants up. Also, when you cover those plants up with plastic, make sure the plastic is not touching the plants, because it will kill them.

Yes, just as you can under water them, there is a such thing as over watering them. As I said above, read up on the plants and make sure you do not over water them. Also make sure they have good irrigation.

When fruit, such as tomatoes are ripening on the vine, make sure you keep them off of the ground. This will keep those creepy crawly things from getting on them and ruining them. It will also make it easy to spot when the fruit has ripened.

If you plan on making bouquets out of your flower, then it is important to know if you can cut them or not. You can cut hybrid teas. There are some varieties or roses that will fall apart at the petals if you were to cut them.
This was such as exciting article to write and it made me want to go out and do some gardening right now! Unfortunately, it is almost midnight and I do not have any lights outside. So, I guess I will just have to sleep on it, right? While I am at it, what is your favorite flower?
