I'm always talking about starting a Lunch Club â€" note to Sugar HQ: I'll do it someday, honest â€" where I organize lunch outings to various tasty eateries. However, I've never thought of starting a Lunch Club where people take turns making food for each other.
I recently discovered a Cooking Light article spotlighting the folks at Room and Board. Apparently they have a Healthy Lunch Club where folks cook for one another. ...

At a Birthday Dinner, Who Should Pay For the Meal?
The guests should split the bill. Everyone should pay for part of the birthday girl/guy's meal.
The birthday girl/guy should pay.
Everyone should pay for his or her own meal.
It depends on the restaurant, the guests, and the birthday girl/guy.

The folks at Panera Bread just revealed the results to a new survey about breakfast. In their survey they discovered that 73 percent of Americans would choose a good breakfast over an extra 15 minutes of sleep. I found this hard to believe as most of the people I know rarely have the chance to eat breakfast. And as much as I love breakfast â€" and I do love breakfast â€" I'd opt for an extra 15 minutes ...

At the Artisan Cheese Festival, I was browsing the cheese display with my mom when she did something totally out of the ordinary. She's not an adventurous eater, but to my surprise she took a gigantic chunk of vegetarian pâté! I love regular pâté, but was a little wary of the bright orange, green, and white thing that rested on my mom's plate. I wish I could say it was absolutely delicious but it just wasn't. The texture ...

These chalkboard napkin rings ($65) serve as a napkin ring and placecard holder at the same time. They've been meticulously created in workshops for the physically challenged, and come with a slate pencil and sponge eraser. I think they're quite nifty and you could have a lot of fun with them. However they are a bit steep in price, and I worry that the chalkboard surface would get that cloudy finish after several uses. What do you think? ...

What Do You Call the Vegetable Pictured Below?
Green onions
Scallions
I don't know what those are called.
I always thought green onions and scallions were totally different vegetables!

Looking for a unique way to go on a pub crawl and get a great workout? Then next time you're in the Minneapolis area, you should look up the folks at the Pedal Pub.
It's a bicycle powered pub â€" and yes, you and your fellow tourmates do the biking â€" that allows you to get drunk and bike at the same time. Right now you're not legally allowed to consume alcohol while biking, but there's actually a bill ...

Want to get drunk in public? Or perhaps you want to hide the fact that you're drinking diet soda? If you're interested in doing either of those things then check out these Beer Can Wraps ($5.89 for 4). These vinyl wraps go around cans so you can hide whatever it is you're drinking. So what do you think? Would you ever use these wraps?

I'm not sure why anyone needed to do a study on this, but it's official, men like meat. A recent study questioned 14,000 American adults and it's been confirmed, men were more likely to choose meat over veggies. I guess I'm one of the exceptions to the rule, as a big juicy steak sounds far nicer than a plate of leafy greens. Although if you were to put that steak on top of the salad then we'd have ...

The Sugar HQ just recently moved into a new building. I'm super excited because on Thursdays there's a farmer's market right downstairs! Yesterday I took advantage of that fact and got some early season strawberries â€" about half were really sweet and half just so-so â€" to snack on. I have a feeling it's going to be my new thing to do on Thursdays!
So tell me, do you like going to farmer's markets?

In order to provide safe drinking water to underprivileged societies, the Tap Project is asking diners to pay for tap water that would normally be offered for free. Many restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area are taking part in the project, which asks diners to donate a minimum of $1 for the tap water. The fundraiser started on March 16th and lasts through World Water Day, March 22. If you happen to be ...

Do You Like Watching Cooking Shows on TV?
Yep, I love learning new recipes and watching folks cook.
Only if they're really simple recipes.
Only if there's absolutely nothing else on.
Nope, I think they're boring.

I saw this Cabernet Grapevine Bonsai ($69) over on Tastespotting and thought it would make a great gift for the right person. It flowers in the Spring and sheds in the Fall and is a fun take on the regular bonsai. I almost want one for my desk! What do you think, would you want one of these plants?

YumJimmy took me out for a fancy-pants dinner on my birthday, and I was surprised to see that they brought out a birthday dessert plate at the end of our meal. The place was too upscale for singing â€" which was okay for me â€" but it got me wondering, what do you think of special birthday treats from restaurants?
