Don’t wait till the night before your wedding to pack your honeymoon suitcase! Try and pack it as far in advance as you can so that you have plenty of time to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything important. Plus, doing it ahead of time will be one less thing to worry about so close to your big day. You don’t need the added stress!

If you’re flying and need your passport and birth certificate, be sure and keep them somewhere handy. Don’t forget about other things like luggage tags, photo ID’s, tourist maps and things like that. You don’t want to be caught searching frantically for them in the middle of a crowded airport only to realize that you forgot them at home!

Discuss Plans Ahead of Time

It’s very important to discuss your plans and expectations of your honeymoon with your sweetheart before you actually get there. You may be expecting to spend all day chilling by the pool at the hotel and enjoying room service while your new hubby had planned to go out and explore the city! You don’t want to have any huge disagreement or disappointing letdowns on your honeymoon so discuss plans and come to compromises.
Check out Local Attractions

There’s no need to go to another city an hour away from the one you are staying in just to sample a restaurant out! Enjoy the area around you, eat and shop in the stores close by. It will be fun walking around together and you won’t waste the money on a taxicab. Ask the locals for recommendations on where to stay and eat and what things to do in town.
Leave an Emergency Contact

Before you leave, choose one person that you can trust and leave them with the emergency contact number of where you’ll be staying and how to get in touch with you. You don’t want to spread it around to everyone, because there’s always the few who like to prank and bother you, and that’s not fun on your honeymoon. But do leave one person an emergency contact so you won’t be the last one to find out if something does come up.
