Using the "power of Google" While Playing the Field

According to CNN, the "new thing" the kids are doing is Googling their dates. Apparently these crazy, technology savvy kids are even looking each other up on social networking sites such as Facebook, and Myspace, after they've met. Take for example, Brad White, who says that after being introduced to his current girlfriend at a bar, he immediately went home and looked her up on Facebook. Brad, you're so crazy! Then, there's also Katie Lard, a self proclaimed "social software geek", who says that she tells her friends in the "dating sphere" to use "the power of Google to their advantage". The "power of Google", huh? Is it just me, or does this not seem like "news"? It surprises me that to the rest of the world this may be news, but I'm guessing that most people have been doing this for a long while now. It's gotten to the point where I practically Google everyone I meet. Even myself. Heck, I'm probably even Googling you right now as you read this.
