Designer Tracy Reese is one of my favorites, but for some reason her handbags have never quite lived up to the greatness of her clothes for me. Her Robin Filigree Convertible Tote is a prime example. Though it boasts gorgeous textured leather, it’s still far too somber and plain for my taste. The immense mother-of-pearl accent on the front flap doesn’t help matters; it lends the handbag an old-fashioned kind of vibe. There’s a distinctively western flavor about it, though that’s much more evident on the tan version (which is a bit nicer than this black).
