Girl's Guide ๐Ÿ“— to Cultivating ๐Ÿ–Œ Style without Looking like You Tried Too Hard ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿฟ ...

1. Add a Pair of Dramatic Earrings

Got a simple outfit going on? Sounds like it needs a bit of oomph to take it to the next level to me! Try opting for a pair over dramatic, dangly or even asymmetrical earrings with a fairly casual, laidback and simple outfit.

2. Stick with Your Signature Look

Are you really into sequins, floral, embellishments or any sort when it comes to fashion? Or do you love to wear cat eye sunglasses, fit and flare dresses or maybe even smart looking blazers? These are all things that you can refer to as your โ€˜signature lookโ€™ and as we know, you can never try to hard when youโ€™re sticking with your own signature style!

3. Donโ€™t over Accessorise

Knowing when youโ€™re wearing enough accessories is a key way to looking super stylish without trying too hard! If you keep layering them on, it can easily take the stylish look away from outfit as there becomes so much going on itโ€™s hard to know where to look! Less is definitely more here.

4. Find a Fashion Inspiration

Which celeb style do you just adore? Is there anyone who you often see pictures of and instantly think โ€˜I must have that pieceโ€™? If not, nowโ€™s the time to find one! Look at celeb style and narrow it down to those who you particularly like and who has a similar style to your own. There are lots of celebs who hardly ever try too hard with their style, so thereโ€™s plenty out there you can use as inspiration!

5. Add a Pair of Black Heels

Unlike many shoes out there, black heels are one kind that are super versatile and can be worn with pretty much outfit you own. Theyโ€™re one of the easiest ways to looking super stylish, for sure! If you go down this route youโ€™ll never have to worry about looking like youโ€™re trying too hard!

6. Choose Two or Three Colours

Trying to incorporate heaps and heaps of different colours into your outfit is a sure way to looking like youโ€™ve tried too hard. So with that said, itโ€™s great to choose two or even three colours per outfit as this will ensure you donโ€™t end up taking it too far! For example, black, white and red (black pants, red blazer and a white handbag) are three great colours that work really well together in an outfit.

7. Know when Enough is Enough

As tempting as it might be to add something extra to your outfit, itโ€™s important to know when enough is enough and to just go with what youโ€™ve got! If you start over-thinking it, youโ€™ll probably end up adding lots of unnecessary things to your outfit and it will appear super convoluted and busy. Instead, recognise when youโ€™ve got a really good thing going and leave it at that!
