Beauty and elegance; this is the motto of the famous beauty brand Sephora. Their motto seemingly translates from one aspect of the brand to another; their products, services, stores and even their headquarters in Warsaw, Poland. The brand is famous for its black and white elements mixed with a bold red and pink which are ubiquitous in the modern beauty scene. These same color accents are what flood the brand’s HQ right from the reception, where two lip-shaped couches accentuate the black and white desk. Large floor to ceiling windows let in lots of natural light which gives the whole reception a relaxed and chilled-out feeling. Other areas in the store’s headquarters include soothing relaxing zones, a canteen, a kitchen area, private offices, collaborative workspaces, meeting rooms, and a lounge. The whole place was designed to give employees a conducive work environment that doesn’t feel too formal. The furniture used in the spaces is fun and well thought out. Black armchairs are found in meeting rooms, offices, and workstations while more colorful chairs are found in collaborative rooms and the lounge. The canteen has a clever mixture of black and white to bring out the well-known signature pattern of the store. In addition, bunny-shaped chairs and hanging egg chairs are also found in the lounge. Potted plants are quite prevalent all over the brand’s nerve center and they provide a touch of nature in the otherwise modern space.
