Yesterday, Oprah interviewed Priscillan Dunstan, a mom from Australia with a special gift. She is known for unlocking the secret language of babies. Every baby is born with the ability to express their basic needs through sounds; and often times, it takes moms some time to figure out what they really want or need. In the interview she says that after testing her own baby language theory on more than 1,000 infants around the world, she was able to distinguish five words that all babies 0–3 months old say—regardless of race and culture:
Heh="I'm experiencing discomfort"
Eair="I have lower gas"
Eh="I need to burp"
Sound familiar? Yes, of course, we all moms have heard those sounds before. In the interview with Oprah, Prisiclla says those "words" are actually sound reflexes, and "babies all around the world have the same reflexes, and they therefore make the same sounds." She continues, "if parents don't respond to those reflexes, the baby will eventually stop using them." Ever since her discovery and 8 years of research, Priscilla developed the Dunstan Baby Languageavailable in DVD.
