# Oscars 2008 Best and Worst Dressed ...

With the exception of [Marion Cotillard’s](https://www.myfashionlife.com/archives/2008/02/25/oscars-2008-the-looks-that-stole-the-show/), Jean Paul Gaultier mermaid gown, complete with flaking fish scales and tail (although the dress was a bit too “theme-y”, it was nice to see someone take risks on the red carpet) nearly every leading lady dressed in the classic hues - black and red…feathers, one shoulder, and Grecian-inspired gowns were also big, and simple silhouettes served as a canvas for dripping displays of diamonds.
