# Why We Still Love Kelly Clarkson’s Sober and the My December Era

Good evening! How is everyone doing? Let me tell you, this week was one of the slowest. Each day at work seemed to crawl by, and I think everyone's mind is already on the 4th of July, even if it lands on a Wednesday this year! I'm totally drained right now; Friday nights are always the best time to just chill out. I'm also so tired of [**Kelly Clarkson**](https://kellyclarkson.com/) getting caught up in [drama](https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/kelly-clarkson-my-december-clash-label-1051512/) over her third album, **My December**, which hit stores this past Tuesday. I made sure to purchase a copy, and I'm thrilled to see that [other music fans](https://music.allwomenstalk.com/) are doing the same!

I'm not going to say it's the best album ever, but it's pretty decent. Plus, I respect that she was able to stand her ground on the direction and style of this very personal album. Her second single, **"Sober"** (a stirring ballad), is making the rounds now, and I'm still digging the first single, **_"Never Again."_** I've got links to "Sober" below in case you haven't already heard it! I still think back to when Ms. Clarkson was crowned our first **[American Idol](https://abc.com/shows/american-idol/)**. I'll admit I couldn't stand her at first, but girlfriend has proven to be an amazing talent, and we definitely have not heard the last of Kelly—far from it!
