Karl Lagerfeld Spring 2009 - a "Blurring" Look

Edited by Tania

If you will ask designer Karl Lagerfeld about what the word 'blurred' means – his answer would be that things are not always quite as they seem.

That's exactly Karl Lagerfeld's theme for the Spring 2009 collection which was showcased at the runways of Paris. If you're a lover of black-and-white fashion, you will more than have your fill of it.

Futuristic body jewelry, geometric cuts and 'futuristic' pieces were the other highlights of the collection. Is the designer trying to blur the lines between fantasy and reality?

Judge the collection for yourself.

The first items few items showcased a combination of Karl Lagerfeld's rendering of 'blurred' creations – just like a cross between black chiffon shadowed by what seems like floral prints. There are also some Erik Halley metal body jewelry featured in the show.

But my absolute personal favorite from the Karl Lagerfeld collection is the flowing, almost liquid silver evening gown which is exquisitely draped to highlight the curves of a woman's body.
