Harrods to Create a 'shoe Boudoir'

We always knew shoes were works of art, and Harrods are proving that with their new 'Shoe Boudoir' concept. Shoes from designers like Rene Caovilla (left) and Christian Louboutin will be displayed on their own spot-lit pedastals in a gorgeous new area with plush carpets, gold walls and all manner of extravagant decorations. There'll even be fitting rooms with floor-to-ceiling mirrors so you can really get an idea of how the shoes look when worn (a good plan when you're spending upwards of Β£300 per pair). According to Harrods' fashion and beauty director, "there will also be the opportunity to order customised, personalised styles for the most glamorous feet in town." We can't wait! [via Vogue]
