David Letterman's Kidnapper Escapes from Jail

Kelly Frank was arrested in March 2005 on allegations he was plotting to kidnap talk show host David Letterman's young son and nanny from his Montana home. The kidnapping-related charge was later dropped against him, in exchange for guilty pleas on three other charges: felony theft, misdemeanor obstruction and possessing illegally killed wildlife, a felony.

Frank, along with another inmate, reportedly left the prison grounds while on a work detail outside the prison fence, The Montana Standard newspaper reported on its web site. Officials were informed they were missing around 4:20 p.m. on Friday. After the prison went into lockdown, all other inmates were accounted for. Not Funny.
