# Catwalk to Photo Shoot \- Kate Hudson in Dolce Amp Gabbana on the Cover of Elle UK April 2008

Winner of Elle UK's [Style Icon Award](https://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u284/Fashion_Critic_/2008/February%202008/ellestyleicon.jpg) and Fools Gold actress, _Kate Hudson_ appears on the cover of Elle UK April 2008.

She is wearing a pink artistic printed [Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2008](https://goo.gl/zFtlzY) dress with the Hollywood hills as the back drop on the cover, look as stunning as ever.

Here is an extract from her interview:

On Style Icons: "A style icon are women who remain true to a signature style, like Anita Pallenberg, Bianca Jagger - and of course my mum Goldie Hawn. I like people to have personal style."

On her signature look: "I'm not into the trampy look" and by trampy she means overtly sexy or slutty. "I like to mis-match. I like a look that is not too thought out. I plan to wear as little as possible for as long as I can. I know I won't have this body forever, she says. and I would like to have another child some day."

On staying in shape: "I've always been a dancer. I took ballet from the age of three to 13, then got into jazz dance. Now I have a dance instructor several times a week and I do Pilates."

On her image: "If there's one thing I've learnt this year, it's not to think too much about my image. I don't dress for anyone but me and the people I love."

On what she will be wearing this spring: "Right now I'm in love with colour! Particularly purple. I just bought a purple Dolce sweater. The other colour I love for spring is cobalt blue. And that peachy skin-tone colour."

For someone who isn't interested in following fashion, she sounds pretty on trend.
